Mobilizing Women’s Films

During the 33rd edition of the MIFDB, academic scholar Rosanna Maule, Professor at Concordia University in Montreal, visited the festival with the aim of conducting research on its history, organizational structure, and programming practices. This research forms part of her broader work on women’s film festivals worldwide.

In addition to a detailed overview of her research, this page provides access to some of the interviews she conducted with members of the festival team, as well as English translations of key documents essential to the festival’s history. These translations were produced in order to make the materials more accessible to the international community.
